Who do you favor the most between Machiavelli and John Locke?

Machiavelli had a defiente sense of realism and human nature, so I would say him. Even though much of Machiavelli's work is pesimitic, Locke's work is highly theortical. Locke brings up ideas like a state of nature, which he himself can not prove can happen. Machiavelli, however addresses the fact the all governments are curropt, one of the truest facts in humanity.
