How hard is it to put my springs over top my axel on my 88 jeep?

Like any other major work, depends on how well you want it done. "Spring over Axle" (SOA) kits are available, search the internet to find them. They all vary as to quality and completeness. Main issues that you will run into are: for rear axle, you will NEED some sort of anti-wrap device, whether "traction bars" or something to keep the pinion from rolling up when you accelerate. For the front, steering becomes an issue because the leaf springs p thru the space that the tie rod and steering linkage currently occupy. It's do-able, but be prepared to fabricate your own solutions for problems that come up unexpectedly.
