Why do we delay work?

I'm currently working on an ignment due later today. Well, the truth is i got to this comp lab 5+ hours ago but haven't really gotten anything done. I've been watching tv online, im'ing and surfing wikipedia and the people here seem to be so productive, or at least that's what I perceive. I usually use my laptop and have no need to come here but some joker stole my ac adapter/charger so i'm powerless, literally. Have I had my laptop, I probably would have been playing games the whole time. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? Best answer goes to a good joke that will keep wasting my time.
