I need help with .mswmm / microsoft movie maker

I've tried saving my .mswmm file on my computer but I keep getting that message indicating that there is something wrong. I've checked out everything and it all seems to be fine. The file is not to big. It just may be that the original movie footage was moved. I really don't know how to fix this so I tried using on-line converters. However, none of them seem to be compatable with .mswmm files. I've even looked at other questions on Yahoo Answers. People post online media converters as their answers but the specific sites they post are not compatible with .mswmm files. I need help, especially from someone who knows what they are talking about. I know how to covert most files via internet and i know how to save them to my computer from microsoft movie maker, so please don't tell me what i already know (I'm not trying to sound bitchy).
