Self-Harm with severe Suicidal/Homicidal thoughts?

The thoughts of self mutilation and suicide are always terrible and frightening no matter your age. regardless of weather or not you are frightened you should ask your parent to see a psychological councilor. If you try anything that would warrant concern to your parents about your personal safety then yes they could have you forcibly incarcerated in the psychiatric hospital. no you will always have contact to family and friends although you may have restriction's on what they can bring in with them when they come to visit. It will be scary but it will help you in the long term. I don't believe that you will come out worse. As far as fun they may or may not allow you time outside as long as you are behaving well and they also have television for you and a few games or at least they did when i was in. there is no shame in going cause at least you were brave enough to admit you needed help. You might view it as prison when you first get there but it's not. the version of the metal institution that you're thinking of is for the criminally insane. Hope this helps.
