Is Compaq a good laptop brand? Better or worse because it is now owned by HP?

it will probably be better because HP is a good brand i recently go t a HP Pavilion dv6 series Entertainment Notebook PC and it is great i love it. the battery life is good for its size works great. and ive had no problems.
