Will children services take my kids away?

I had children services called on me in july for hitting my daughter with a belt and leaving a welt on her face which is un true i havent heard much form them tell today 8/31/2007 when i recived a letter stating that as the alleged perpetrator the report disposition is substantiated and my case is being transfered for on going supportive services im confused by what that exsaley mean ive had lots of false reports but never have i gotton a letter like this im scared what can i do?
