Expungement of Misdemeanor?

I had pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge last September in Ohio. One of the sanctions was 1 year of good conduct before i could get my record expunged. My lawyer however says that after 1 year of good conduct, i have to wait another year before i can file and go to court to get it expunged. Does that make any sense?
